For those that are sure that they want to be a DJ, which is something that you should make certain of since you will be unloading a lot of money for the equipment, the easiest piece of equipment that you should consider is turntables. For those that are not sure if the DJ path is going to work out for them, then you should buy the cheapest turntable that you can find that way you are not out as much money if the job does not work. For those that are sure of this career decision, then you should consider getting a more high priced turntables that have a long life, this way you get the most for your money. One of the best well known brands is Technics, however, you can find those that are much similar for the same price. Shop around and look at reviews online to be sure that you are getting the best that you can afford.

Once you find the turntables, you need to buy mixers. You will want to purchase a two channel mixer to begin with, and after you start making money through your new career you can splurge for the accessories such as effects, equalizers and so on. Each mixer that you come across will offer different features, some will include replaceable faders on, which is something that you should seriously consider.

Then comes the speakers, this is probably going to be the hardest thing to decide on since there are so many available to you to purchase as well as offering a huge range of sounds. This is going to be a personal decision that you make. If you want the loudest, then go with it, however, just starting most people buy the cheapest in order to make sure that they are seriously going to stick to the path of a DJ.

A good rule of thumb when you are looking at this equipment is to consider whether you want to rely on a computer or not. There are many pieces of equipment that will require a computer, while others will not. The computer could be another piece of equipment that you want to purchase, however, you do not have to. In addition, the prices are going to range considerably. However, most people find that choosing in the mid range of prices is the best option that they make in the beginning.
